California Girl

California Girl is a Thoroughbred mare that is purpose bred for Dressage.  She is approved with the American Trakehner Association with the incredible score of 124.4, with incredible scores, highlights include a 9.5 for type; 9’s for croup and walk; 8.6 for topline; 8.5’s for head/neck, shoulder, and trot; and an 8.2 for the canter, overall impression of 8.5. She was also awarded High Scoring Mare at her inspection, and also of the entire US 2020 tour, with many compliments from our inspectors—video available.

Cali also scored 100 at her Mare Approval for ISR Oldenburg, and is the Westfalen Main Mare Book, Book I with compliments from the Inspector, especially on her demeanor and her canter. Cali is trained through Second Level and has been lightly schooled Cross Country. Clinicians love her natural ability to sit and carry, we love her laid back attitude and delightful personality. Cali was bred to the lovely Ehrentanz KD for a 2016 foal. Cali’s first foal, Earnest Charm LSE has been started under saddle and is progressing very well!

Cali has many relatives that have competed successfully in the Olympic disciplines, from 4th level dressage to Olympic level eventing-her most notable close relatives are listed below: 

  • Balista (sire's half brother) competed in 3 Day Eventing rider Mike Winter (Canada) Silver Medal 2003 Pan Am Games and competed in 2004 Olympics in Athens Greece

  • Madeline (sired by Cali's dam half brother) Advanced level Eventer with Holly Payne, competed in Rolex CCI****, Blenheim CCI***, and Fair Hill International CCI***

  • Blackwell's Bentley (sire's half brother) 4th Level dressage
