Aurelia NSF is a 2004 Trakehner mare by Windfall *Pg* out of Actress by Avignon II. “Gracie” was developed by her amateur owner to Preliminary level eventing, and was schooling 3rd level prior to her retirement. Forward thinking and brave, Gracie is an eventers dream, she has ample movement for the dressage phase; plenty of blood, boldness, and grit for Cross Country; and is careful and scopey in the stadium ring. She has a kind and trainable disposition, often making her a barn favorite.  Her impressive competition record includes 2 trips to the American Eventing Championships at Training Level.

Gracie’s own talent is backed up by Olympic bloodlines. Our breeding selections for Gracie will be directed to the Eventing market, however, those interested in custom foals for either Dressage or Show Jumping should also take note. She has correct movement, excellent rideability, and a gift for laterals and changes. Her scopey jumping style is quick, catty, and efficient in the air.

Gracie’s sire, Windfall *Pg* had an illustrious eventing career spanning six years, including three appearances at Rolex and one at the 2004 Olympic Games. Ridden as a young horse and short-listed for the German Olympic team with Ingrid Klimke, Windfall picked up many accolades in the early parts of his career, being named to the short list for the 2000 Olympics. In 2000, Windfall was imported into the United States, where he continued his career, and started breeding. He set a long-standing record at Rolex for the highest percentage achieved in the dressage (over 78%).

Dam, Actress by Avignon II had her own career, competed successfully at PSG dressage and level 4 jumpers before becoming a broodmare. Her sire, Avignon II is a full brother to the breed’s outstanding major sire E.H. Arogno and helped to shape the young Trakehner breed in North America, he is especially well known as a broodmare sire. The stallion line founded by his sire, Flaneur, is one of the strongest and internationally most recognized lines with significant influence also in other warmblood breeds and a special emphasis on carrying talent for dressage and high natural rideability.
